Pearson Prep is a flashcard study application with machine-learning algorithms that fine-tune your study experience as you learn.
Knowing when to maintain parity between desktop & mobile experiences and when to allow divergence can be a nuanced decision.
This was particularly true as we added an "Add an exam" feature. Research showed that time management is a key pain point for students preparing for a test. This new feature lets students group flashcard decks together around an exam event, set an optimized cadence of study sessions and track their progress towards preparedness.
We used interviews and traffic analysis to ensure we delivered an optimal experience in both the desktop & mobile platforms.
